Note that the museum isn’t stroller-friendly. As you have to climb stairs and walk through narrow hallways, you’ll be asked to leave your stroller at the ticket office. If you’re travelling to Cascais with a baby or a small toddler, plan on bringing a good travel baby-carrier for this part of your visit.

You can also visit the lighthouse, which has been converted into a museum. It’s only 5€ to enter the museum. Tickets include access to the viewing platform at the top of the lighthouse. From there, you’ll be able to enjoy breathtaking views of Cascais.

The weather is usually warm but not excessively hot, and there is less chance of rain compared to other times of the year. It’s the perfect weather to tick off all the items on your Cascais bucket list!
- Crowds: Visiting Cascais during the shoulder seasons of late spring and early autumn allows you to avoid the peak tourist crowds that descend upon the town during the summer months.
